Grown on an ancient dry riverbed, not far from the McLaren Vale township, this fruit is all handpicked and sorted before being fully destemmed at the winery. With whole berries in tact, after a brief cold soak, this parcel was wild fermented over a 2 week period, pumping over as needs with gentle extraction the aim. Matured in neutral 225L barriques our Nero was bottled after 6 months in barrel without fining or filtration.
