In 2018 we were included in the Young Guns of Wine Top 50. Given the calibre of talented winemakers in this group, we we're pretty pumped to be involved.
TOP 10 BEST NEW WINERIES 2017 EDITION - 5 STAR RATED
Excellent feedback and scores from Campbell Mattinson in this years Wine Companion. Here’s some of what Campbell had to say..
2018 Rouleur Yarra Valley Chardonnay 94 Points “Pitch perfect in all respects. Fruit and oak are balanced on a pinhead; the finish feels assured; it's safely well ripened and it simply tastes good. It gathers pace as it reaches the finish, always a good sign”
2018 Rouleur Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir 94 Points “It takes time to unfurl; it's light in colour but is broody and intense. Macerated cherries, fistfuls of spice, garden herb notes; they're all here. But it remains characterised by its fruit, its tannin, its thousand mile stare. It is but a pup. This is going places”
A solid set of scores for Rouleur in this years Wine Companion, and receiving 97 points for our 2017 Blewitt Springs Shiraz was a definite highlight
We’re excited to be 5 Star Rated and have 2 of 3 wines submitted receive 95 points in James Halliday's 2018 edition book. Check out what James had to say by clicking on the links below

Rouleur 2018 Shiraz “Best drinking: Now to ten years plus. 18.5/20, 94/100. 13.4%, $32. Would I buy it? In a second. I’ve told Matt before that his wines are too cheap, and here’s another example”
Rouleur 2018 Pinot Noir “Keep an eye out for Matt’s 2018 Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir It’s such an archetypal Mornington Pinot from ‘down the hill’ that manages to deliver that sappy red fruit again with delicacy. Let’s call it 18.5/20, 94/100 too and I’d gladly drink a bottle tonight”
Making the list of TOP 10 MONTHLY WINES with our ‘17 Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and ‘17 McLaren Vale Shiraz a highlight here. To read what Andrew had to say in full about all our wines, click the link above
Rouleur 2017 Pinot Noir “Best drinking: Now or up to five years time. 18.5/20, 94/100. 12.9%, $28.80 direct in 6 pack. Would I buy it? Mad value at those dollars. I’ve had many a $50 Yarra Pinot that sits behind this wine. Buy.”
Rouleur 2017 Shiraz “Best drinking: Now to fifteen years (but I enjoyed it immediately). 18.5/20, 94/100. 14%, $32. Would I buy it? A steal of a wine.”
